Thompson H. Depue

	Thompson H. Depue, 83, Du Quoin, passed away Thursday, February 6, 2003 at 1:30 a.m. at Marshall Browning Hospital.
	Mr. Depue was a Locksmith and a member of Spirit of Life Christian Church.  He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
	Mr. Depue was a member of the Du Quoin VFW and Royal Neighbors.  He enlisted in the National Guard in 1940 then transferred to the Army and served in the Army Air Corps to the Air Force.  He retired from the Air Force Reserves in 1979.  He was a former member of React, Civil Defense.  Not only was he a locksmith, he was a professional photographer, manager of several theaters including the Grand in Du Quoin and was an avid reader who loved camping, traveling, music and hugging his family.
	He was born December 6, 1919 at Ft. Scott, Kansas, the son of George William and Fannie (Hill) Depue.  He married Elsie Norene Smith of November 12, 1940 at Keokuk, Iowa.
	Surviving are his wife, Elsie Depue of Du Quoin; two sons and daughters-in-law, Thompson and Leanna Depue of Warrensburg, Mo., and George and Lynda Depue of Taylorville; five daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Victor Mainwal of Reseda, Calif., Delores and Allen Davison Jr. of Du Quoin, Helen and Mike Schubert of Tamaroa, April and Dan Wilson of Crestview, Fla. and Patricia and Robert Norton of Decatur; 17 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
	He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, one sister, one half-brother, one half-sister, one grandson and one niece.
	Funeral services were Saturday, February 8 at 10 a.m. at Spirit of Life Christian Church in Du Quoin with Rev. Gerald Wright officiating.
	Friends called at the Neal-McClure Funeral Home on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Saturday from 9 a.m. until time of services at the church.
	Military Rites were conducted by the Du Quoin VFW.
	Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
